Thu vẫn mơ mà lòng tàn mộng ước
Lá úa nhàu phai kỷ niệm ngày qua
Cuộc tình tan từ khi vận nước nhà
Trời mây xám một đời hoa òa vỡ

Ngày xưa đó nhớ mùa hè lửa đỏ
Xếp bút nghiêng anh khoác áo hoa màu
Em khép trang lưu bút nhốt tình đầu
Tiễn đưa người ôm thương nhớ ngàn sau

Rồi một chiều em lặng lẽ ra đi
Xa quê hương, chôn cả tuổi xuân thì
Nơi xứ lạ đêm ôm niềm ray rức
Ánh đèn tường thao thức bóng chinh nhân

Thu vẫn đến thu đi thu tàn nhẫn
Mang hồn hoang trôi dạt tận chốn nào
Ký ức phai tình rơi rụng đớn đau
Cố nhân hỡi tình đầu tìm đâu nữa?

My hearty dreams are diminishing when Autumn is coming
As the leaves are tremblingly aging and passing memories are fading
Our love is broken along with the fate of home country
And the sky turns dark as a flowery life is broken shatteringly

I remember that old day in the fiery fighting summer
You set aside the study and put on the uniform of a soldier
As I closed up the memorial diary which buried our first love together
And bid farewell to the departing person in embraced longing forever

Then one afternoon I just simply departed and went away
To be distant from the homeland burying the fresh prime age
And as I am staying in strangers’ land carrying the gnawing longing
And staying up late dreaming about the traveller as the lamp is burning

Autumn is still coming and going, oh the ruthless autumn
An undetermined destination floating soul is what I carry on my person
Memories are fading and love is fallen so painfully
O my soulmate, my love, where can I find you and where could you be?
